Argentus Coin & Precious Metals - Our Story

Argentus Coin and Precious Metals is proud to be Salem, Oregon’s trusted, locally owned destination for precious metals, coins, and fine collectibles. As a husband-and-wife owned business, Garrett and Kathleen are proud to be local kids who became local business owners. We even went to school in the neighborhood where our store is located today! We are built on family, integrity, and a connection to the community that raised us.

As members of the Salem community, we are committed to providing a welcoming, transparent environment where customers can ask questions, learn about the market, and make informed decisions. We believe buying and selling precious metals, antiques, and collectibles should be straightforward, educational, and rewarding for everyone who visits.

At Argentus, we specialize in the buying, selling, and trading of gold, silver, platinum, jewelry, coins, and currency, while also assisting with estate items, antiques, and collectibles. Whether you’re looking to invest in bullion, expand a personal collection, or sell unused or broken jewelry, our knowledgeable team provides fair evaluations, competitive offers, and complimentary assessments.

We invite you to visit our shop to explore our curated selection of precious metals, antiques, and collectibles, or feel free to bring in your own items for a complimentary assessment and discover their potential value. You can also shop our eBay store after hours from the comfort of your own home! From family heirlooms to investment-grade metals, Argentus Coin and Precious Metals is here to help you turn curiosity into confidence—and treasures into opportunity.

Thank you, Salem, for welcoming us and joining us on this exciting journey. We are truly grateful for the trust and support of our community as we continue to grow and serve you!
